Drug Testing Laboratories Government forensic laboratories or drug testing laboratories accredited by the DOH Shall perform 2 testing methods: a. Screening- determine the positive result and the type of drug used b. Confirmatory- confirms the positive screening test. Drug certificates- valid for 1 year

The ff shall undergo drug testing: Applicants for driver’s license Applicants for firearm’s license and for permit to carry firearms outside of residence Students of secondary and tertiary schools Officers of public and private offices

The ff shall undergo drug testing: Officers of the military, police, and other law enforcement agencies All persons charged before the prosecutor’s office with a criminal offense All candidates for public office

Issuance of False Results Penalty: Imprisonment and fine Revocation of license

Lab test on Offenders Screening test within 24 hrs if there is reasonable ground that the person is under the influence of dangerous drugs Challenged within 15 days through a confirmatory test Result is valid in a court of law

Prescription of Dangerous Drugs One original and two duplicate Original= pharmacist, one for the buyer, one for the person issuing the prescription Use of special forms exclusively issued by the DOH
