Date: Friday, July 3 rd 2015 Topic: Photosynthesis and Respiration contributing to Cycles Objective: To analyze how the Photosynthesis and the Respiration Process contribute to the Carbon and Oxygen Cycle. CLASS # 5 – U2 PHOTOSYNTHESIS AND RESPIRATION CONTRIBUTING TO BIOGEOCHEMICAL CYCLES Photosynthesis and Respiration It is a process by which plants elaborate their own food. They produced oxygen during Photosynthesis goes back to the Atmosphere and it is used by living things so they can perform the Respiration Process.

Contribution In the following equations it is proved that the Photosynthesis and the Respiration are opposite processes that form a cycle, in which the materials of one are restored by the other. Photosynthesis Respiration

Practice # 4 Answer the following questions: 1. Why is the Photosynthesis opposite of the Respiration Process? Explain. 2. How do the Photosynthesis and Respiration Process contribute to the Oxygen and Carbon Cycle?
