A Man of Action Winston Churchill became Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1939. He then led his people to victory against the Axis forces.

Leader During the Blitz In 1939- 1941, the English people were bombarded constantly by the Germans. Churchill wrote and orated many speeches during that time to encourage his people to continue on.

After France surrendered to Germany, the same treaty was offered to England. Churchill refused even when most of Parliament would have liked to accept. Understanding the Threat that was Hitler
