2  Approximately 2800 rows plus 1000 rows in isolation  Fifteen breeding crosses for S 1 development: BR51039 (2), Antigua 01, GEM x exotic inbred (2), and GEM x GEM combinations (10)  Eight GEM S 1 ’s for S 2 development: BR51675:D27S21, GEMN-0104/GEMN-0097, NS1:(GEMN-0097), NS1:(GEMS-0115), BVIR155:S20, 89291:N(LH51), and 89291:N(LH59)

3  Approximately 110 new breeding crosses were developed between tropical hybrids or inbreds and GEM-Ames releases or ex-PVPs  Sixty-eight new GEM x GEM combinations (Raleigh x Raleigh and Raleigh x Ames releases) were produced  Ten older GEM-Raleigh releases were increased for the PI Station in Ames

4  800 summer nursery rows and 230 winter rows  Ninety-nine BC 1 families and sixty- nine F 1 s completed in 2015  Crosses and backcrosses to PHB47 almost complete

15 We currently are using three 1970’s era K2 Gleaners for harvesting yield trials. Two of the machines have weigh buckets developed by Pioneer in the early 80’s. The third machine uses has a weigh system developed here at NCSU and does not have a hold hopper. All three machines have the HarvestMaster HM401 weigh system and use an obsolete Pro 4000 computer. The HM401 system is probably obsolete as well. We would really like to upgrade the computer systems if possible before they fail on us with “newer” systems that are still supported. We can also use another 3-row 30” corn head for a K-2 Gleaner.
