2. Strange Birth Only Olympian to be born from a mortal woman. Father was Zeus and the mother was Semele. Hera tricked Semele into asking Zeus to show his true self to her. Upon seeing the god in his full splendor she burnt to ashes. Zeus was able to save their unborn son and sewed him into his leg. Which other god/goddess was born from Zeus?

3. Fearing Hera’s wrath, Hermes took Dionysus to a hidden valley and had the Maenads raise him. There he invented wine.

4. Stolen by pirates Dionysus was found sleeping on a beach by a band of pirates. The pirates thought that he was a high born youth so they took him aboard thinking to ransom him. He tried in vain to convince the pirates that he was a god but they didn’t listen. Grape vines grew from the sea seizing the ship. The pirates jumped from the boat and Dionysus turned them into Dolphins.
