11 Parent and Student App  From September, we are introducing an online APP for parents as part of our student VLE.  The Parent Portal will report on academic progress, behaviour, achievement, rewards, home learning and other home-school communication.

12 Online Reporting Attendance and Punctuality Parents will be able to see weekly reports for each subject area. Rewards and Behaviour Parents will be able to see daily reports for each subject area. Reports All academic and progress reports will be available online in your personal Parent Portal account. Homework Parents will be able to see all home learning set by class teachers.

13 Next Steps Support Room There will be a drop-in session Mon – Weds until 7pm for the first two weeks of term. Email Please ensure that school have an up-to-date email address in order to set up your personal Parent Portal account. Instructions In September, parents will receive instructions on how to set up your account. Settling in Evening There will be a drop-in room and a support stall open at the settling-in evening.

17 Extra – Curricular Music  There are still a small number of places left for musical tuition.  Please see Miss Berry for further details

18 School Uniform You should wear the correct school uniform at all times. This should be worn with pride both in and out of school.

20 Coats should be removed as soon as you enter the building. Hoodies should not be worn under any circumstances. They will be confiscated. School Uniform

21 Remember  Boots, of any type – must not be worn.  Boy’s shoes – must be plain, black leather.  Girls’ shoes – must be sensible, plain, black leather shoes, They must protect feet against wet weather.

22 The following items are banned and will not be accepted as part of our uniform:  Jewellery – You may wear a watch (taken off during Physical Education) but NO other item of jewellery.  Ear piercing – No ear, face or body piercing are allowed. No plasters over piercings will be acceptable. This is for Health and Safety reasons.  Make up/nail varnish – Must NOT be worn.  Caps – STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. They will be confiscated. School Uniform

23 Banned Hairstyles  Extremes of colour and style are simply NOT acceptable.  Shaved/ No. 1 and 0 cut are NOT acceptable for boys or girls.

24 Standards  You are expected to come to School with basic equipment.  This includes a pen, pencil, ruler, reading book, calculator, green pen (for responding to feedback from your teachers), books and a suitable bag  You will be expected to carry your books and other items around with you. Please make sure that you use an appropriate bag for school which has enough room to carry everything you need for the day.

25 Punctuality and Attendance  It is very important that you are punctual to school and lessons. ARRIVE BY 8-20am  The warning bell goes at 8:25, you should be at your form room for this time.  We expect attendance of 100%.  A high level of attendance is linked to a high standard of academic achievement.

26 Mobile Phones  It needs to be turned off and in your bag as soon you enter the school building.  If you have your mobile phone out in school it will be confiscated.

27 iPods/Electrical devices  We strongly advise that you do not bring iPods/iPads or other items of electrical equipment into School  The School will not take any responsibility whatsoever for the loss/damage of any of these items.
