Flight Watch 122.0 Shutting Down On September 24, 2015, the FAA will consolidate Flight Watch services into routine flight services inflight frequencies (122.2) During a 6 month transition period, Lockheed Martin Flight Service (LMFS) will monitor current Flight Watch frequencies and will provide a frequency to use in order to receive enroute weather and advisories. NEW Service from FAA Optional special reporting services provided through automated position monitoring while on a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) flight plan using a variety of GPS tracking devices and increased automation. GPS tracking reports are generated and forwarded to Flight Service. The system keeps track of the aircraft. If your airplane stops moving or stops sending data an immediate alarm is sent. Pilots also have the option to adopt Automated Activation and Closure of flight plans.

File your “NASA” form electronically: http://asrs.arc.nasa.gov/report/electronic. html FAA Regulations prohibit reports filed with NASA from being used for FAA enforcement purposes. As long as your acts are not determined to be “intentional” (you followed the rules) Your identity will remain anonymous. File the NASA Report within 10 days of the incident You may file as many NASA Reports as you like…there is no limit. So….no matter how minor the incident…file a NASA Report You may only use a NASA Report for immunity from FAA enforcement actions once every five years
