2.  Research:  Recycling protects and expands U.S manufacturing jobs and increases U.S competitiveness.  Recycling reduces the need for land filling and incineration.  Recycling prevents pollution caused by the manufacturing of product’s from virgin material  Recycling saves energy.  Recycling decreases emissions of greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change  Recycling conserves natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals.  Recycling helps sustain the environment for future generations

Day: 1 Comb, toothbrush, clothes, contacts, book bag, laptop, laptop strap, lunch tray, water bottle, cup, dinner plate (2), Silverware (2), bed sheets. 15 items recycled Day: 2 Comb, toothbrush, clothes, contacts, book bag, laptop, laptop strap, brown bag, plastic straw cover, tin foil, cup, dinner plate, silverware (2), bed sheets. 15 items recycled Day: 3 Comb, toothbrush, clothes, contacts, book bag, laptop, laptop strap, lunch bag, plastic straw cover, cup, dinner plate, bed sheets. 12 items recycled

Day: 4 Comb, toothbrush, clothes, contacts, book bag, laptop, laptop strap, plate, cup, silverware. 9 items recycled Day: 5 Comb, toothbrush, clothes, contacts, book bag, laptop, laptop strap, brown bag, plastic sandwich bag, dinner plate, cup, bed sheets. 12 items recycled Day: 6 Comb, toothbrush, contacts, plastic lunch box, Styrofoam cup, plate, bowl, plastic reusable cup. 8 items recycled

5. Day 7: Comb, toothbrush, contacts, fishing pole, crab pot (2), line (4), plate, cup, bed sheets. 13 items recycled Total = 83 items recycled.

7. I have learned that there is a lot of this that I can recycle. Recycling is not that hard. There is a lot I can recycle and it really helps the environment. For now on, whenever I’m about to throw something out, I’ll think twice and see if I can reuse it. This will really make a huge difference in my local environment.
