Introduction: “The Uniqueness of Christ” Lesson 3: The Death of Jesus Christ What did Christ teach concerning His death? (Mark 8:31,32) He would suffer, be rejected, and killed, and He would rise again. How did Christ feel about such a death? (Hebrews 12:2) He submitted voluntarily; knowing it would bring joy, He endured the cross but despised the shame. Describe the effect of Christ’s death with respect to God’s holiness. Romans 3:25, John 4:10) God demands justice, and Jesus’ death provides justice freely to anyone who will receive it. The Result of the Death of Christ

How did Christ’s death affect your relationship with God? (Colossians 1:21,22 Romans 5:10,11) We were reconciled to God; we are holy and blameless in His sight. The Result of the Death of Christ

(Acts 16:31) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, personally accepting His death as payment for our sins. Can we work for salvation? (Ephesians 2:8,9) Why not? No. We receive it because of God’s grace, not our works, so no one can boast.
