Herding Group History This group retains the most primal instincts decendant from wolves Humans have trained them to stop short of the kill and work with a human handler Dogs in this group have a variety of methods to control their herds: ▫Nip, bark, stalk and stare, circle, or cut. Group includes: German Shepherd Dog, Cardigan and Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Cattle Dog, Collie, etc…

Herding Group Special Requests This group typically has great stamina, therefore, at least 30-45 minutes of high-energy exercise is required. Make exercise a challenge if done in a small area. Utilize the dog’s intellect and keep them working for a reward This group commonly excels at agility or Schutzhund type training. Research thoroughly before acquiring a dog from this group !! Most of these dogs can live outside, but need ample time with their families!
