Ships departed Western Europe with Guns & Powder They were traded in Africa for Slaves Slave’s were transported to America where they were sold Ships went back to Europe loaded with sugar, cotton and tobacco

The British outlawed the slave trade in 1807 1834 Slavery was abolished in England The United States abolished the slave trade in 1808 Slavery wasn’t abolished in the United States until 1865 The Slave trade continued to thrive in Brazil and the Caribbean
