4. Early Years… Born in Corpus Christi Started elementary school in a suburb of Corpus (Calallen) Then moved to Orange Grove (pop. 1212) Grew up on 10 acres in the country 1 brother, 1 sister, parents divorced Saw Dad on weekends Had a stepfather for several years

5. Activities Was NOT athletic Tried gymnastics Tried Brownies Participated initially in 4-H activities: Showed sheep Food show Clothing Always wanted a horse!

6. Later Years Attended Orange Grove High School Graduated in 1989 Became very active in FFA Showed sheep and A steer Leadership and Judging contests Chapter President 3 years District Officer (ran for area and state) Houston LSS&R Scholarship Recipient American FFA Degree Recipient
