Too many times we isolate ourselves in our classrooms. To be truly effective, we must reach out. We teach our students community in the classroom; we must model that by building a learning community on our campus. Show me a teacher who has it together and also loves to learn, and I will show you a teacher who will go out of his way to help you!

Seek National Board Certification. Attend workshops!!! READ... especially the research behind education. Observe veteran teachers. Most are more than happy for you to learn from them (at least the good ones are.)

Students are Technical –Cell phones –Gaming systems –IPOD Touch Fighting a losing Battle –Rules on Phones and Technical Devices –Students use more analytical thinking skills defeating the rules than they actually use learning inside the classroom.
