Escalating Health Care Costs In this Unit, we will discuss the current financial picture of the health care system in the United States. We will discuss the rising health care costs and the reasons for them, declining quality of care, attempts to control costs, the problem of the rising number of uninsured patients, and the ethical implications of cost control. Collaborate Work with your group. Using any resources from the unit, create a fictional scenario that exemplifies the problem of rising health care costs. Incorporate as many factors as possible. Consider reasons for rising costs, as well as the impact of cutting costs (and any ethical implications). Feel free to tell this story from any point of view (patient, doctor, nurse, insurer, etc.) or multiple points of view.
