6. NC House Bill 447  House Bill 447 was filed yesterday with bi-partisan support in the House to restore the Teaching Fellows Program  A couple of things to consider…  1) The House has been supportive of restoration and had the program restored in it's budget last year.  2) The bill calling for restoration of the program didn't have (to my knowledge...might need to check) any Republican co-sponsors.  3) The problem still lies within the Senate. Specifically with the Senate leadership. They have communicated that the program is eliminated and is not going to return as far as they are concerned so there is reason to believe that they are going to hold to that even if this current bill picks up steam in the House.
