2 Liberty Bell The Liberty Bell is the symbol of independence and freedom in the U.S. The bell itself was first made in London, England in the year 1752. Once shipped to the U.S it developed a crack which is one of it’s defining features. The bell has been recasted 3 different times, it has cracked each time.

3 The U.S. Flag The U.S Flag was first created in 1777. It has, however, been changed many times since then. The flag has 13 stripes. 7 are red and 6 are white. It has 50 white stars on the beautiful blue background. The stars represent the amount of states in the United States.

4 Bald Eagle The bald eagle was chosen by our founding fathers to be the national bird of the U.S in 1782. It was chosen for its long life, strength, and majestic looks. The eagle can only be found in North America. This bird is also the mascot of NWES!!!

5 The U.S Seal The U.S. Seal was finalized on June 20, 1782. The Seal is used to authenticate several Federal documents. The center is a bald eagle. There is a pattern of 13 in the Great Seal: 13 stars in the crest above the eagle 13 stripes on the shield on the eagle 13 arrows in the eagles claw 13 olives and leaves in the eagles claw 13 letters in the motto, E Pluribus Unum 13 represents the first 13 states.
