Heat Cramps Symptoms Legs Stomach Arms Excessive Sweating Thirst Remedy Move to a cool place Stay hydrated, drink plenty of liquids Massage affected muscles

HEAT EXHAUSTION Symptoms Headache Dizziness/ faint Dry mouth Cold clammy skin Muscle cramps Irritability Nausea Urge to defecate Chills Confusion

HEAT EXHAUSTION Remedy Move to a cool place loosen tight clothing cool neck & head and body with water sit or lay down and elevate feet if possible hydrate (drink-sip)

HEAT STROKE Symptoms Flushed hot skin Headache Dizziness/ faint Muscle cramps Weakness Nausea Loss of consciousness Seizures Weak and rapid pulse and breathing

HEAT STROKE Remedy Move to a cool place and call 911

Recommendations Stay hydrated, drink plenty of liquids (1-2 quarts per hr => 1 gatorade every 4hrs) Eat Fruit Do not remain static, walk, stretch, cool yourself Wear comfortable, loose fitting, clothing Avoid caffeinated drinks (energy drinks like redbull or monster, coffee or soda) Watch your co-workers Don’t be embarrassed to ask for help
