12. Space Activity Cut a large shape from the half sheet of paper provided by the teacher. Throw away all scraps. Cut the shape into AT LEAST NINE or more pieces—BE SURE NOT TO LOSE ANY PIECES FROM THE ORIGINAL SHAPE. Re-form the pieces into the original shape on the second sheet of paper provided by the teacher—kind of like putting a puzzle together. Expand the shape by gradually sliding the pieces apart. Experiment with different amounts of negative space between the pieces. After deciding upon the most pleasing arrangement, glue the pieces to the sheet of contrasting paper. Answer the following question: How is the new design more interesting than the original shape?
