4 A Describing things with adjectives Unit 1 We can use adjectives to describe someone /something. We can put an adjective before a noun or after a linking verb: be grow smell become keep sound feel look taste get seem turn … eg : She has short hair. Her hair is short. A lazy cat is sleeping on the sofa. The cat is lazy.

6 Unit 1 B comparatives and superlatives We use comparatives to compare tow people / things. We usually add ‘-er’ to short adjectives and use ‘more ’ for long adjectives. Then we add ‘than’ after the comparatives. Sandy’s hair is longer than Millie’s hair. My book is more interesting than his book.

7 Unit 1 We use superlatives to compare three or more people / things. We usually add ‘-est’ to short adjectives and use ‘most ’for long adjectives. Then we add ‘the ’ before the superlatives. Eg: He is the tallest boy in my class. This is the most expensive printer in the shop.
