2. Nativity story by Ruby

3. 2000 years ago a young girl called Mary, who had a husband called Joseph, was outside when a beautiful angel appeared and said “You are going to have a beautiful baby.” The angel said that she would have to call it Jesus.

4. Soon after the angel had visited Mary and her husband Joseph set off to have her baby son. They took a long journey to Bethlehem where Joseph was from. They was an there way there to pay a special tax. Mary had to ride on a donkey over the hills of Galilee.

5. After a few days of traveling Mary and Joseph were really tired and they needed a place to stay. However all the inns were full. As they were walking they found a little stable that were free to stay in.

6. After a few hours Mary gave birth to a cute baby. Mary called it Jesus. She wrapped it up In a blanket and laid him in a crib full of hay.

7. Meanwhile some shepherds were watching there sheep and found bright shining light. It was the angel Gabriel sent down from God to tell the shepherds to not be afraid because the angel was delivering good news. The angel said that the son of god has been born and they would find him in Bethlehem.

8. The shepherds went to go and see him. When they got there they were full of joy. They knelt down and worshiped him. They told Mary and joseph that there son would be the saviour of the world.

9. Far away there were some wise men who studied stars. One night they saw a special bright, shining star. They studied there scrolls and it said that whenever that star appeared there were a new king of the world.

10. The three kings decided to go and follow the bright star and go and find the new king of the world. They went to king Harrods palace to see if the new king was in there. They asked king Herod to see the new ruler of the world but he didn’t know what they were talking about. King Herod was worried that the new king of the world might take away his throne. He told them to return with the baby so he could worship him his self

11. The wise men set of to go and get the baby. To get there they followed the star to the stable in Bethlehem. When they got there they worshiped Jesus and gave him the gifts of Gold, Frankincense and myrrh.That night Joseph had a dream that the angel came down and warned them not to go back to king Herods palace or the king will kill baby Jesus.

12. So Mary, Joseph went back to their own country right away.King Herod ordered that all the baby boys in Bethlehem would have to be killed. However they did not find Jesus as he was safe.
