Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 Periods 1-4: I Can…determine tone and mood. HW: Final Drafts due TOMORROW! 1 st Period: 1. Study 5 minutes for Group 7 Pre-quiz. Take Pre-quiz (quizzes are located by small lamp near Val’s seat.) Turn in & read library book when finished. 2 nd Period: 1. Study 5 minutes for Group 7 Pre-quiz. Take Pre-quiz (quizzes are located by small lamp near Kassidy’s seat.) Turn in & read library book when finished. 3 rd Period: 1. SSR for 10 minutes. 2. Tone & Mood worksheet – read through front as a class. Then in table groups, complete the questions that continue on back (worksheet is by small lamp near Kassidy’s seat.) Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 Periods 5 & 7: I Can…write a descriptive paragraph. HW: Study for vocab quiz! 5 th Period: 1. Study 5 minutes for Group 7 Pre-quiz. Take Pre-quiz. Turn in & read library book when finished. 7 th Period: 1. SSR for 10 minutes. 2. Write a descriptive paragraph using the details from your graphic organizer. Begin with a topic sentence (My monster’s name is _________, and s/he’s really frightening!) Then continue with sentences that describe all the details of your monster. End with a concluding sentence. Remember, don’t put your name on your paper! We’ll know which one is yours. Turn in before leaving today.
