Adam Osborne In 1981 Adam Osborne created the first portable computer.
It was called the Osborne 1. It cost a massive $1,795. The screen was 5 inches and the it had 64 kilobytes of memory. It also had 2 floppy disk drives.

William Gibson William Gibson was the pioneer of cyberspace.
He came up with it in 1984. Cyberspace is all the information and everything to do with the internet.

Microsoft Word In 1983 Microsoft word was introduced.
It was originally called Multi-tool word and Windows. It didn’t come out until 1985 although it was meant to be out in 1984. They sold 450,000 disks. They demonstrated the program in an issue of PC World Magazine to help sell it.

Commodore 64 In 1982 the commodore 64 was introduced.
It was selling for $595. There was 64kb of memory on it and the graphics were very good. The computer stoped being made in Over the time it was around it sold 22 million computers. It was so many computers that it made it into the 2006 Guinness world records for being the greatest single selling model of all time.
