U.S. – 18 yrs old. Before it’s 21. Begins when become sexually mature and ends at the age of legal maturity (18 yrs. old). Boys mature later than girls. There are two subdivisions of adolescence: -Early adolescence “teens” (begins at age 13 and ends at around 16 year old. -Late adolescence “youth” (17 – legal maturity (18)
