X>2 & SRC May 3rd – May 10th, 2011 Xiaohui Zhan Argonne National Lab
2
May 3 rd (Tue.): ◦ Continue production at Kin 3.1 (L) and Kin 6.5 (R). ◦ Proceed to Kin 4.2 after beam study, smooth production. ◦ CODA crash, right Q1 tripped once but recovered soon. ◦ Network problem for LeCroy HV IOC. ◦ Fixed the R-HRS movement issue. May 4 th (Wed.): ◦ Production at Kin 4.2. ◦ Bull’s eye scan, proceed to Kin 4.1. ◦ Change to Kin 5.05 ◦ IOC values & Dipole NMR problem.
3
May 5 th (Thu.): ◦ Beam study, access to move BB spectrometer for the prepare of SRC. ◦ Change to Kin 5.0, put sieve in for optics. Preliminary analysis shows sieve hole on right arm (distorted optics due to Q3) ◦ Sieve out and continue production at Kin 5.2. ◦ No major issues. May 6 th (Fri.): ◦ Finish production at Kin 5.2. ◦ Change to Kin 3.1 and finish. ◦ Change to Kin 6.5 (last setting). ◦ HRS magnet control frozen. ◦ NMR lock issue.
4
May 7 th – 8 th (Sat. – Sun.): ◦ Continue production at Kin 6.5 ◦ CODA rate issue due to loose trigger cable.
5
May 8 th (Sun.): ◦ Switch over to SRC from 10am. ◦ Beam pass change: 3->4 ◦ Target warm/Configuration change ◦ HAND/BB cosmics tests ◦ Slanted Carbon run to check doubles ◦ Low current BPM/BCM test over night (ALEX) ◦ Target Vacuum problem.
6
May 9 th (Mon.): ◦ Beam study ◦ Target change/cool down (4He/LD). ◦ Set kinematics L-HRS 3.61GeV/c, R-HRS 1.196 GeV/c ◦ Left Q1 polarity stuck when trying to ramp it up after the target cool down. ◦ R-HRS timing shifts by 60ns, investigation on going… May 10 th (Tue.): ◦ MCC shifts Thursday’s beam study to today (9am – 1pm), both halls have magnets problem. ◦ Controlled access for techs to fix left Q1 ◦ R-HRS timing investigation continues(?)
