3. Word Study Words of the week - 2 words per week - learn part of speech, suffixes, prefixes, root words, syllabication, & spelling of words - test on 10 words after 5 weeks - list kept on side board Spelling Unforgivables

4. Reading Workshop Self selected book (fiction) Complete at least one novel per marking period Read in class during Reading Workshop (2 days) Reading journal (worth 50 points - will be due every 2 weeks) Read when your work is finished You must bring self selected books to class everyday (spot book checks!)

5. Library Rules Borrowing books from my library Before class/End of class or during R/A Fill out the card in back of book Put card with your name and date in small grey box Show me that you are returning the book Return book to shelf according to title of book ( Ex. – Red Kayak – “R”) You lose it, you buy it!
