Why the individual is considered a leader? He knew what he wanted and so he built an alliance with others that had criminal power in New York. Also Used money and violence to gain power over unions.

What characteristics separate this leader from others? He killed anyone that was in his way of his goals.. Schultz made agreements with others to make him and others money. An impulsive killer that killed anyone who was challenging his authority.

How long was this person in leadership? During prohibition Schultz was a well known bootlegger.He opened several saloons and supplied them with hijacked whiskey, smuggled liquor from Canada and Europe. By 1932 all of Dutch bootlegging and gambling was put away from him being arrested from back taxes.

Negative Traits ? A very impulsive killer. He used money and violence to gain power over unions.

The Last Of The Dutchman. Schultz had a disagreement with other mobsters and as there were some on his side,the others felt Schultz were betraying them by killing a dedicated member of a gang.
