What are the differences you noted on both your farms? 1900 No tractors or other farm equipment More work animals – horse drawn plow Smaller farm sizes and buildings 2000 Use of tractors, combines, and other farm equipment Larger farms

What happened to cause these changes? The horse drawn plow and the John Deere tractor serve the same purpose, but the John Deere tractor is the result in advances in technology. The John Deere does the job faster and is more versatile. These are the results of Mechanical Technology.

Raised the standard of living for most humans 100 years ago the average life span was 47 years old, today the average lifespan is 75 years old.
