7 www.england.nhs.uk Capability The SI Team task to build and accelerate the spread of improvement and change capability across a complex health and care system is significant and ambitious Connections The health and care system is predictably fragmented; inadequate connections to support learning, sharing and spread of good practice “People don’t know where to go to make the best connections to support them with their improvement challenges.” Culture and Change - “seismic shift ” New move to distributed leadership to overcome dependency on hierarchies, cultural and structural barriers, lack of trust and common purpose Collaborations The SI Team needs to build intelligence, profile or reach to support collaborative design, development, rapid spread and adoption BETTER CONNECTIONS BETTER CARE Drivers for our work –what the system was telling us it needed
