Childhood Obesity Childhood obesity is on the Rise in the United States. If Parents would Control there children eating habits there would be less Obesity. 1 – Healthy Eating Habits 2 – Limiting Screen time 3 – Physical Activity

Getting Good Eating Habits Eating 5 servings of fruit and vegetables every day Fresh organic is the best, frozen and canned are good but NEED to STAY away from Fried Veggies/ Fruit 1 Fist = 1 serving Need to have ½ of plate = Veggies/Fruit

Limit Screen Time Screen time should be 2 hours or less Avoid putting a T.V. in the bedroom Avoid eating in front of the T.V.

Increase Physical Activity Keep them in sports such as soccer, football and also indoor sports basketball, dancing Play active games like jump rope to music or hula hoop Have your child walk or bike to school

Conclusion Childhood obesity is on the rise in the United States. If parents would control there children’s eating habits there would be less obesity. When parents change and control what there child eats, limit screen time, and increasing physical activity it can reduce child obesity.

Call to Action It is important to be a role model to your children in having healthy eating habits. It is important for parents to control children's eating habits, limit the screen time to less than 2 hours daily and increase their physical activity to decrease childhood obesity by the age of two.
