3. What I think I think that the penny should not be retired. Because, the penny is the first coin a little kid might find. Even though the penny might be 2.4¢ to make, I think the nickel should not be around. Because it cost 11.6¢ to make it.

10. Final Conclusion I strongly feel that the penny shouldn’t be retired. In a recent survey conducted by scholastic 151,180 students surveyed and 66,026 said yes. 85,154 students said no. For this reason I see that “popular sovereignty” is a Core Democratic Value that does supports my side of the issue. History has shown more coin collectors like to collect pennies or dollar coins. Pennies are useful in the world, but to so they aren’t. For all the above reasons I strongly believe that the penny shouldn’t be retired.
