TCA cycle Tri carboxylic acid cycle : is called so because several of its metabolites have three carboxyl group (citrate,cis- aconitate,isocitrate). Also called Kreb-cycle Cycle of energy production, central cycle in the metabolisim of CHO, fatty acid and amino acid.
