 Conjugating is manipulating the ending of the verb to reflect who/what is doing that action.  We are conjugating verbs in the present tense.

 Present tense expresses an action happening now, or in the present.  In Spanish, this translates equally, but it can also mean “-ing” Bailar = to dance yo bailo en casa= I dance at home. yo bailo en casa= I am dancing at home

singularplural first person-o-amos second person-as-áis third person-a-an  For example… bailar = to dance singularplural first person bail o bail amos second person bai as bail áis third person bail a bail an

 llegar = to arrive  participar = to participate  These verbs are conjugated like regular –AR verbs

tomar apuntes conversar mirar el televisor caminar bailar estudiar comprar (libros, gatos…) escuchar música trabajar montar en bicicleta llegar participar -o-o - amos - as - áis -a-a - an

 Conjugating –ER verbs (and –IR verbs) follow the same pattern… they just have different endings…

singularplural first person-o-imos second person-es-ís third person-e-en  For example… vivir = to live singularplural first person viv o viv imos second person viv es viv ís third person viv e viv en
