3 Spelling Test You will hear 20 words read out loud. Write the spellings for each in your books.

4 Reading Test You have one minute to read the provided text (Alice in Wonderland). Do not try to read faster than your ‘normal’ pace Count up the words you got to after one minute has passed (Every 100 words is marked in red) to help you

22 How are you going to do this? You need to be able to measure: – The month people were born – Luck (!) Are there any rules everyone needs to follow? Would it be best if only a few people collected the data?

23 Measuring Luck We’ll measure luck like this: Everyone needs to predict what number is going to appear next (between 2 and 8). If you get it right, you get 1 luck point. If you get a second one right, you get 2 luck points etc So if you get 2 numbers right, you get 3 points altogether, if you get 3 numbers right, you get 6 luck points altogether. We’ll do it 10 times.
