Erasmus+ 1. A Jean Monnet Module Short teaching programme / course at a higher education institution Duration: 3 years. Subject: European Union studies Applicant: HEIs in any country Each Module a minimum of 40 teaching hours /academic year Group lectures, seminars, tutorials General or introductory courses on European Union issues Specialised teaching on European Union developments Summer and intensive courses that are fully recognised. The maximum grant 30 000 EUR 3 years Maximum of 75% of the total eligible cost 10

Erasmus+ 2. A Jean Monnet Chair Teaching post on European Union studies for university professors A Jean Monnet Chair must be held by only one professor Applicant: HEIs in any country. X Individuals cannot apply European Union studies embodied in an official curriculum Minimum of 90 teaching hours / academic year Duration: 3 years Teaching hours: group lectures, seminars, tutorials He /she must carry out at least one additional activity per academic year Teaching/lectures to students from other departments (e.g. architecture, medicine) Conduct, monitor and supervise research on EU subjects, Organise activities (conferences, dissemination, seminars/webinars, workshops, etc.) Maximum grant 50 000 EUR for 3years. Represent a maximum of 75% of the total eligible cost 11

Erasmus+ 3. Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence A focal point of competence and knowledge on European Union subjects. Duration: 3 years Joint transnational activities with academic institutions in other countries. Applicant: HEIs in any country Aims at developing synergies in European studies, Target groups: students, policy makers, civil servants, organised civil society and general public ♪ Research activities in specific European Union subjects ♪ Update current courses and curricula ♪ Debate and exchange of experiences about the EU ♪ Systematic publication of the results of research activities. Maximum grant 100.000 EUR for 3 years. Maximum of 80% of the total eligible cost 12

Erasmus+ 4. Jean Monnet Support to Institutions and Associations Support activities carried out by associations active in the field of European Union studies. European Union studies at regional, national or supranational level. Applicant: Institutions/Associations active in the field of European Integration studies Duration: 3 years. Focus: study of the European integration process. Open to all interested professors, teachers and researchers specialising in European Union issues Type of activities: Publication of a newsletter, website, promotional events, research The maximum grant is 50 000 Maximum of 80% of the total eligible cost 13

Erasmus+ 5. Jean Monnet Networks Create a consortia of international players of European Union studies Applicant: HEIs in any country or other organisation Minimum of 5 institutions (incl. the applicant) - 5 different countries. Higher education institutions, Centres of Excellence, departments, teams, individual experts Undertake projects that have a multinational rather than a national dimension. Maximum grant 300.000 EUR Duration: 3 years. Maximum of 80% of the total eligible cost 14

Erasmus+ 6. Jean Monnet Projects Support innovation, cross-fertilisation and the spread of European Union content. Applicant: HEIs in any country Unilateral proposals - may involve other partners Duration: between 12 and 24 months. Innovation : new angles and different methodologies of making European Union subjects more attractive. Cross-fertilisation: promote discussion and reflection on European Union issues Spread content: information and dissemination activities. The maximum grant 60 000 A maximum of 75% of the total eligible cost of the Jean Monnet Module. 15

Erasmus+ Who can take part? Higher education institutions worldwide. Organizations active in the European Union subject area Associations of professors and researchers specialising in European Union Studies. xIndividuals cannot apply for a grant. 16

Annual Calls for Proposals issued by EU Applications may be from a HEI institution or Association/Institution in any country of the world Only one applicant institution is required (except for Networks) Proposals assessed by experts on basis of relevance, quality of design, quality of team, impact and dissemination Apply directly to Executive Agency (EACEA) 18
