2 Location-City Cardiff is located on the southern tip of Wales. It is the biggest city in Wales and also the Capitol.

3 Location-Country Wales is located on the southwestern side of the island of Great Britain. It is located in the United Kingdom

4 Climate Cardiff is located in the North Temperate Climate. Since it borders the ocean, it also has a maritime or Humid oceanic climate.

5 Climate Cardiff’s average temperature is 70.3 degrees F in August and 35.5 degrees F in January.

6 Waterways No rivers go through Cardiff, but Cardiff has a harbor. It is very close to Bristol Channel. The Bristol Channel is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean

7 Cardiff City Hall Cardiff is one of Europe’s fastest growing cities. The City Hall is the fifth building to hold Wales’s Government. It is located in Cathays Park, which is in the heart of the city.

8 Cardiff Castle Cardiff Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Wales. It has 2000 years of history and was the home of a Roman fort and royal families.

9 Castell Coch Located just north of Cardiff, Castell Coch was a 19 th century Gothic reveal castle It was built on from 13 th century fort.

10 Pierhead Building It is located on Cardiff Bay. It is a good remembrance of Cardiff’s Harbor History.

11 St. David’s Hall St. David’s Hall is the National Concert Hall and Conference Center for Wales. It has free entertainment, restaurants, and a popular place for conferences.

12 Techniquest Techniquest is a interactive science museum for kids and adults! You can launch a hot air balloon and watch an ant colony at work!

13 Cosmeston Park Cosmeston Park is 7 miles south of Cardiff. It is a free entry public park and is famous for the large Cosmeston Lake.

14 Millennium Stadium Millennium Stadium is the National Stadium of Wales. Wales’s rugby team and football team plays in the stadium.

15 Airport Cardiff has one airport. It is the Cardiff International Airport (CWL). Getting to and from the airport is easy because of taxis, coaches and trains leading out of it.

17 Rental Cars You can get your rental car at the Airport through companies like Enterprise, Budget and Europcar.

18 Private cars Private cars are more common than Taxis in Cardiff. You call in before hand to have the driver pick you up in a certain spot at a certain time.

19 Taxis Tourists and locals in Cardiff prefer to use Private Cars in Cardiff, but Taxis are always around if you choose to use them.

20 Trains Cardiff Central Train Station is located in Cardiff’s town Center. It travels people throughout Wales and through the United Kingdom!

21 Bikes There are Bike Rental shops throughout Cardiff. It is easy and fun to bike around Cardiff because Cardiff is generally flat and there are many bike paths to go on.

22 Walking In some ways, walking in Cardiff is the fastest way to travel in Cardiff. You can see tourist attractions, landmarks and museums faster because most of them are in walking distance of each other!
