6  Enjoy the stories  Listen for what makes great children’s stories, commonalities, etc.

7  What children’s books do you remember most?  What makes those books memorable?  How do you target a young audience?

8  In small groups, establish the criteria for a great children’s story  Think about the major areas of criteria.  Next, think about how to determine level of success in each area.  Put these on a 4 point scale and describe each level.  4 is the best, the wow!, the above standard  3 is the standard  2 is just below standard  1 means major revision or help is needed

9  Start creating images or brainstorm ideas for your children’s book
