Important Vocabulary Clarity: The quality of being clear and easy to perceive or understand. Context: The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning. Perception: A personal understanding of a message.

Put It All Together! See if you can write one sentence that uses all three words (clarity, context, and perception). AND! Demonstrates your understanding of the meaning of each term!

Put It All Together! Public speakers use context to add clarity to their message in order to make sure that everyone in their audience has the proper perception. OR! Since people can have different perceptions of messages, public speakers use context to add clarity to their message.
