4 4EMC CONFIDENTIAL—INTERNAL USE ONLY CATALOG: CREATE - REQUIREMENTS Create Block Snapshot Session – Allows the user to create an array snapshot point-in-time copy without linking a target volume. – Similar to Create Block Snapshot service – Allow selection of a project – Allow selection of the source (volumes and/or snapshots for which this feature is supported, VMAX3 for example) – Allow specification of a name – Allow option to link targets or not – If link targets is chosen, allow specification of a count, and the copy mode

Unlink Target Volume – Allows the user to unlink one or more target volumes for the a BlockSnapshotSession – Allow selection of a project – Allow selection of the source – Allow selection of source BlockSnapshotSession – Allow selection of one or more linked targets, i.e., BlockSnapshot instances – Allow option to delete target volumes on the array, only if selections are not exported

Relink Target Volume – Allows the user to relink a target volume for a BlockSnapshotSession. – Allow selection of a project – Allow selection of the source – Allow selection of source BlockSnapshotSession – Allow selection of one or more linked targets, i.e., BlockSnapshot instances – Allow selection of the target BlockSnapshotSession – Listed target BlockSnapshotSessions have the same source as the selected source BlockSnapshotSession

15 15EMC CONFIDENTIAL—INTERNAL USE ONLY UI: REQUIREMENTS Requirements: – Ability to list all SnapVX Sessions for source volumes. – On Resources page in UI, selection of volume, right now have the ability to display list for Snapshots, fullCopies, Mirrors and appropriate action buttons (Pause, resume) are available. – The ask is to come up with one more item to display list of SnapVX sessions for VMAX3 volumes alone. – Action buttons should include "Link", "Unlink", "Stop"
