England 15’ Nerea Marín Corchero 3 ESO A

I thought it was a great opportunity to go to England and visit some of the most famous and important sites in the country. It is the first time I travel outside Spain, rather, outside Catalonia, and has been an incredible experience for me.

My idea when I travel here was basically have a good time visiting the country which I really wanted to tread. When we got off the plane, I wanted to start at the same moment to visit it all.

And I got it. Learn English was not what drove me to go, but once there, had wanted to talk to the British and see what was my level, if I could ask one direction, and understand them. Thanks to that, I met Mathew street.

We organize days with places to visit. We had everything well planned. After that, we were on free or ate together at a Fish & Chips for example, a dish typical of England. We toured with a boat on a canal. One day we had a barbecue with the boys of the boardind school. We went to a museum and a mass.

The first place we went was Giggleswick, the boarding school, located in Settle. Other days we took a van and went to Skipton, York, Liverpool and Windemeer lakes. We also went to Scotland, Edimburgh.

I think I have been attentive to the signs of the teachers and haven’t been competitive in winning points for the award.

I may at some point have complained about being hungry. I can’t stay long without eating. For the next outing I’ll make a mental note: not complain and enjoy the travel as much as possible.

I liked almost everything. The sites we visited, stay in Giggleswick, the friendliness of the people who live there or the clothing stores, are examples.

Although there are many things that I liked, some don’t, like the food. I didn’t like the food they gave to us. I spent the entire trip shopping food or eating from the suitcase. And the worst of all, transportation by air. It was chaotic. Horrible. Especially the back, when I thought I had lost my fear of flying, when there were ten minutes to landing, turbulence! It scared me a lot. A LOT. I went down to the mainland as a desesperate.
