10 Break the Habit Drug addiction is a bad habit that is hard to break due to physical and psychological dependence on the drug. The more serious effects of drug addiction are conditions such as Tolerance – the ability to resist the effects of drugs over a period of time, shown by increasing the dose again and again even when large doses no longer bring the feeling of well-being.
