4. Teaching practice continued… Weekly Planning (used a different colour in program) Made it fit in to what we were already doing. For example: Literacy/Oral Language Vocabulary Development LI To further develop and consolidate the children's vocabulary. Introduce the Hobyahs. No cover. What could it be about? Do we think they are ‘good characters or bad’ etc. What words might be in the story. Can we remember the words we have learnt from other stories. Lets use them in this story. (mischievous, stealthy as shadows, dangerous, evil, terrifying). Make a game of inserting the vocab and actions. Dramatise the story. Comp focus: Visualising. Draw the Hobyah. Act out vocab.
