2. Telling time in Spanish To say “at” 5:00 instead of it’s 5:00 say: A las cinco. ¿Cómo se dice “at 3:30”? A las tres y media. ¿Cómo se dice “at 8:15”? A las ocho y cuarto

3. Telling time in Spanish When telling a time after half past the hour, (any time after :30), we say this 1- Say the upcoming hour minus the number of minutes until that time. Ex: For 4:45 you say: It’s 5 minus 15 or Son las cinco menos cuarto. Ex: For 6:40 you say: It’s 7 minus 20 or Son las siete menos veinte.
