Since television talk shows are not aired live, you must find and create hot topics that are current. No one wants to hear about the cool celebrity party that happened a month ago.  Always pitch your ideas with confidence. If you are not confident in your creative topic, who will be?  Always keep your ideas for great topics to yourself. If you tell another producer about your ideas, they may steal them.
