Brimstone Brimstone is an advanced dual-mode laser- and radar-guided weapon. It can seek and destroy armoured targets at long range. In indirect attack mode, weapons are launched when the targets and their position are not visible to the attacking aircraft. In direct attack mode the pilot uses an onboard sighting system to select the target. The target can lie off the aircraft’s track, thus the pilot does not need to manoeuvre to release the weapons.
