3. Ask  What is the problem?  How have others approached it?  What are your constraints?

4. Imagine  What are some solutions?  Brainstorm ideas.  Choose the best one.

5. Plan  Draw a diagram.  Make a list of materials you will need.

6. Create  Follow your plan and create something.  Test it out.  Run multiple trials to ensure the most accuracy.

7. Improve  What works?  What doesn’t?  What could work better?  Modify your design and test it out.

8. How can we build a car to protect an egg? What designs have other students used? We can use our materials to build a seat, a roof, and crumple zone, etc. Sketch a design and pick out the materials you need. Build your car. Test it with a fake and real egg. Think about what aspect you need to improve and restart the process.
