WEBSITES http://www.holidays.net/days/category/national-holidays This website has a bunch of different information about all the National Holiday’s in the United States. You are able to click on each holiday and it will bring you to the holiday’s page and there it will have textual information as well as video clips and other interesting things about that holiday. http://bensguide.gpo.gov/3-5/symbols/ This is a website that lists all of the different symbols that are important to the United States. You are able to click on each of the different symbols and the website takes you to another page that gives facts about the symbol, what it stands for, and why it is so important to the United States. Some even have pictures as well. http://www.brainpopjr.com/socialstudies/citizenship/ussymbols/ This is another website that is a great resource for the students. They are able to watch videos about the symbols, play different games, draw about them, and so much more. This is a great website for students to be familiar with, especially when it comes to Elementary school.
