This bridge was inaugurated in 1966 named Salazar in memory of the dictator who ordered construct it. Salazar

Later on, the bridge received the actual name in honours of “Revolution of Carnations” what happened in 25th April of 1974. “In Portugal, carnations are the symbol of freedom.” Carnation

In “Revolution of Carnations” soldiers put Carnations on the barrel of their guns and revolted themselves against the biggest dictatorship of the portuguese world. Revolution of Carnations

This bridge is just like Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. It goes away of the top of Lisbon and finishes in Almada, on the south bank of the river. Golden Gate Bridge

In Almada’s side, you can see the monument of Christ King, just like Christ Redeemer, in Brazil. If you want visit the Christ King, you will be absolutely amazed. Chist King
