7. ADDING POLYNOMIALS  Add vertically:  Line up like terms then add coefficients.  Or add horizontally:  Group like terms then add coefficients.

8. SUBTRACTING POLYNOMIALS  Subtract vertically:  Line up like terms and subtract.  Change all signs like with elimination.  Subtract horizontally:  Distribute the negative then group like terms.
