Students understand the relation of hydropower compared to wind power. How does energy develop through the flow of current (water) moving through a generator? As the fluid transfers through the generator it provokes motion of magnetics rotating within a wire coil creating electric power. This allows the development of electric energy through a simple movement of water through turbines.

Physics behind a hydropower plant Very similar to wind power, hydropower uses the sameformulas to calculate the variables encountered whileproducing energy.http://www.microhydropower.net/casestudies/http://www2.hesston.edu/Physics/Electromagnetic/Electromagnetic_webpage/Templates/uses.htm
