1. Is composed by 54 artificial lakes 32 dams which provide 1.900 Mmc of storage capacity 850 km of aqueducts 210 km conveyance canals 47 pumping plants 4 hydropower plants Sardinia reservoir system (ENAS)

The most relevant part of the Southern Sardinia is supplied by the Flumendosa- Campidano hydraulic system, that includes six interconnected artificial Lakes, built and managed by the Ente Autonomo Flumendosa (E.A.F.) since the middle 1950’s. The main activities of Ente Flumendosa are: Planning Designing Building complex hydraulic structures managing the Flumendosa-Campidano hydraulic system checking the water quantity and quality experimental activities for environmental protection Flumendosa-Campidano hydraulic system

3. Flumendosa-Campidano system The overall volume of the system amounts to about 6.2 · 108 m3 and the yearly average volume distributed to the users (Mmc/year) is the following: Seasonal discrepancy between water availability and demand Conflicts between different users
